The Boeing B-29 Super Fortress main aircraft systems indicators and gauges were installed on the large Engineers Panel on the port side of the aircraft behind the pilot and bombardier's glass-house, cockpit.
From this position the aircraft's engineer monitored and adjusted the engine's fuel mix and power outputs along with the engine temperatures and fuel and oil tanks. Across the bottom right of the panel lay the main circuit breakers and Amp and Volt meters, responsible for power distribution across the B-29's electrical systems.
This WWII Weston Type AA measured 400 cycle alternating current flow to the aircraft's complex flight control actuators and turret motors.
This Weston AC Volt Meter is in excellent condition for a B-29 flight instrument over 75 years old. The face dial glass is unmarked and mounted in its 100 yr old Mango Wood Stand with engraved plaque and highly detailed custom-built B-29 scale model perched above, would make a fantastic pilot gift or a one-of-a-kind collectable for that special aviation enthusiast in your life.
This B-29 Super Fortress Instrument comes complete with detailed Scale Model, Mango Wood Stand & Plaque plus Printed Fact Sheet featuring photo of instrument in aircraft cockpit.
