Rare Vickers Wellington, Air Ministry, early brass-cased 5c/366 Mk 2 Cockpit Lamp and 5c/725 Dimmer Switch



The Air Ministry issued bulkhead panel lights installed in the Bomb Aimer, Navigator and Engineer’s position on the Vickers Wellington and Avro Lancaster. were originally manufactured in solid brass but as the War in Europe progressed and essential materials became scarcer, production switched to the cheaper, mass-produced Bakelite resins.

This rare, original WWII brass-cased 5c/366 Mk 2 Cockpit Lamp bears its Air Ministry engraved rotatable/extendable cap and wiring loom and comes complete with an original Air Ministry 5c/725 Dimmer Switch.

Add a bulb, battery and connect the two together and you have an amazing, original WWII desk lamp.
