VINTAGE MATCHING PAIR OF CHINESE PORT & STARBOARD COPPER & BRASS LANTERNS

Made by Tung Woo of Hong Kong, these beautiful vintage matching pair of copper & brass 'STARBOARD' & 'PORT' Chinese marine oil lanterns are exquisitely detailed with a wonderful Verdigris patina.

With a hinged opening vented lid, these lanterns would have contained a small oil lamp and formed part of the navigation lights of a small fishing vessel or coastal trader on Hong Kong Harbour or plying the fishing grounds of the South China Sea

These wonderful vintage heirloom displays would be perfect for a restored traditional wooden yacht or simply pride of place as head-turning bookshelf ends or on an entrance hall table.

The Tung Woo vintage lanterns could also be easily retro-fitted with a 12 or 240v internal light and mounted on a small wooden tripods as a sensational pair of study, bedroom or lounge-room decorator lamps
